The new gateway into construction...

The new gateway into construction...

On the 11th of October 2017, the department of education introduced plans for a T-Level in construction that is expected to be available from 2020. T-Levels have been created for students of a more practical mind-set (as opposed to technical).

The course content will be created by industry professionals such as Morgan Sindall and Skanska and will include a work placement where students can apply their knowledge to a job.

£500M a year is set to be spent on T-Level courses to get the next generation into a variety of industries.

The construction course will last two years with each student receiving a grade at the end much like A-Levels. Year one will teach students core construction skills, whilst year two will let them pick a specific discipline.

Farsight can’t wait to see the younger generations joining the construction industry.
