Women in construction

Women in construction

Thursday 8th of March was international women’s day, a day we’ve been using to empower women for hundreds of years now. We thought it’d be the ideal time to celebrate the girl power that we shout about every day at Farsight.

If you check out our team page, you’ll see that out of our 12 staff, 7 are women. That’s over half! We’d love to talk about how awesome all seven of them are but we’ll keep it short and sweet and just tell you about two…

Donna Butler – Donna is the director here and the ultimate boss lady! She has worked at Farsight for going on 7 years now, starting as a consultant and working her way through the ranks to director, she is like a second mum to everyone here. Never one to shy away from the phone, she loves a chat with our lovely temps and clients but majority of her time is spent keeping us lot out of trouble. Donna loves construction because she gets to meet hard working individuals every day and no two weeks are the same. As well as working hard all week, she loves to spend time with her husband and daughter, keeping an excellent work/life balance.

Chloe Wright – Chloe is our Accounts Clerk here in the office, she started at Farsight the day after she finished school and has been working away ever since. She’s always busy with different facts and figures, whether it’s processing timesheets for our lovely guys on site or sending out invoices. Chloe never fails to amaze us with how busy she gets but still remains calm and a pleasure to work with. In her own time, she leads a hectic social life, spending time with family and friends but has never shied away from working a late night.

I think you’ll agree we should be shouting girl power from the rooftops with these hard workers. We celebrate their excellence every day, not just international woman’s day. Go girls!
