We are officially on the countdown to our charity event for Combat Stress. Want some more information? Look no further.
First things first, what is this charity event we speak of? Esmerelda’s Barn is a swinging 60’s “night with the Kray’s”. Esmerelda’s Barn was a nightclub owned by the Kray twins from 1960 to 1963 so we are expecting everyone to dress accordingly. There will be a live band (The Non-Commitments) offering a range of 60’s covers to get everyone up on the dancefloor. There will be a 4ft grazing table provided by local business, Graze Derbyshire, a table full of our favourite snacks putting us one step ahead of the buffet game.
Where is all of this happening? I hear you shout. We are utilising the function room of another local business, The Bless 11-17 Chapel Street, Derby. We have the entire first floor for our Friday fundraising! This includes a private bar so there’s no trips up and downstairs to grab a drink!
I know by now you’ll be on the edge of your seat wondering how you can attend this fun filled night… but first, when is it? Friday the 2nd of February 2018. That’s only 3 weeks away, just long enough to grab a ticket, arrange a plus one and organise your outfit… will you be a gangster or a member of the 60’s IT crowd?
It’s all fun and games getting dressed up for a dance and a drink but what is the real purpose behind Esmerelda’s Barn? Farsight nominate a charity every financial year to sponsor throughout the year. This year we nominated Combat Stress, a veteran’s mental health charity. They support soldiers with PTSD among other mental health issues. All profits will go directly to the charity.
We really hope to see you all there, supporting a worthy cause. Tickets are £25 per person and there is limited availability so be sure to jump on the phone straight away if you want to get involved. Speak to Jess or Matt on 01332370300 or email Abby at firstname.lastname@example.org.
